Fire Emblem: The Age of Legend
Rules and System
Fire Emblem: The Age of Legend will consist of an at least somewhat predetermined series of battles, probably played at a rate of 2-3 per session, broken up in between by narration and roleplaying between the various characters to develop them and advance the story. There are no formal rules for the latter, characters will largely be able to speak and do as they wish between fights without the need for stats or rolling dice.
Battles will essentially consist of two phases: final preparations in which the players will decide which of their characters to use, where on the map to place them, swap equipment as needed, etc. and the actual battle in which each side will take alternating turns until one accomplishes its goal and wins or the players decide to restart the battle (doing so will mean a loss of various rewards and also at least one character who died before restarting will stay dead).
During a side’s turn, every character on it can take actions (see Actions for some details) in any desired order except that one piece’s actions cannot be interrupted midway through by another one’s.
