Fire Emblem: The Age of Legend
The 3rd most populous city in Feryngia after Frysolythia and Savaritan, it is the capital of Peruvia and has been since independence came in 2A 1813. Before that the Savlan Empire‘s regional capital was Ihaen.
The city is located on a massive natural trading hub with access to the River Peruvia as well as the Kora and the Sea of Rove, sustained by fishing, farmland, and easy food imports down these waterways.
There have been major towns in this area since time immemorial, but the modern city of Aether was built up rapidly as soon as the rebel Peruvians were able to seize the area from the Savlans. Aether is nearly on the border with what is now Savaritania, so putting the capital there was a stinging taunt to their enemies. The city has endured many sieges but has never fallen, more than can be said for the former city of Savlan across the delta.
Besides serving as the seat of Peruvia’s government, with the Satran and both the Barturu and Barnoush residing here (close to the hotly contested border), it houses a truly massive garrison and a vast fleet in the port. The Forty Servants and Knights of the Rising Sun of course have their base here, and the city also houses Peruvia’s vilest criminals (such as deserters and traitors) and is where they and others appealing their cases are tried.
